NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

January 16, 2013

10:00 a.m.

 

RULE SET # 2012-102 LR

 

The Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, Workers’ Compensation Agency, will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, starting at 10:00 a.m. at the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, State Secondary Complex, General Office Building, 7150 Harris Drive, Dimondale, Michigan, in the offices of the Workers’ Compensation Agency, First Floor, B-Wing.

 

The public hearing will be held to receive comments from interested persons on amendments to the Michigan Administrative Code as follows. R 408.43b will be revised to require public employers to provide the same types of information when they seek to renew their workers’ compensation self- insured authority as that provided by private entity self-insurers. R 408.43i will be revised to update language regarding correct name of agency and Office of Financial and Insurance Regulation and to clarify language regarding the maximum allowable investment in any one corporate or municipal bond held by a group self-insurance workers’ compensation fund.

 

These rules are promulgated by authority conferred on the Director of the Workers' Compensation Agency by section 205 of 1969 PA 317, MCL 418.205; section 48 of 1969 PA 306, MCL 24.248; and

Executive Reorganization Order Nos. 1996-2, 1999-3, 2002-1, and 2003-1, MCL 445.2001, 418.3, 445.2004, and 445.2011. The rules will become effective seven days after filing with the Secretary of State.
