NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Department of Human Services will hold public hearings to receive public comments on proposed changes to Licensing Rules for Family and Group Child Care Homes.

The proposed rules modify caregiver requirements for training, infant sleeping and napping, telephone equipment, and routine transportation. The rules provide specific requirements for radon testing and lead-based paint/dust hazards, and recalled children’s products. Fire safety requirements are clarified. Comments on the rules may be made in person at the hearing or by mail, FAX, or Electronic mail until 5:00 P.M. November 3, 2008.
These rules are promulgated by authority conferred on the Department of Human Services by section 2 of 1973 PA 116, and Executive Reorganization Order Nos. 1996-1, 1996-2, 2003-1, and 2004-4, MCL
722.112, 330.3101, 445.2001, 445.2011, and 400.226. These rules will take effect 60 days after filing with the Secretary of State.
