    DEPARTMENT OF TREASURY STATE TAX COMMISSION

     

    NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ADMINISTRATIVE RULES 2012-011 TY

    The State Tax Commission will hold a public hearing at the following time and place to receive comments by interested persons on proposed rules for the State Tax Commission:

     

    Date:               November 15, 2012

    Time:               1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Location:         Richard H. Austin Building

    Local Government Large Conference Room, 2nd Floor

     

    The proposed changes will update the rules to reflect a policy adopted by the State Tax Commission regarding jurisdiction of the State Tax Commission for specific MCL 211.154 petitions.

     

    These rules are promulgated by authority conferred on the State Tax Commission by sections 9, 84, 85, and 86 of 1965 PA 380, being MCL 16.109, 16.184, 16.185, and 16.186; section 150 of 1893 PA 206,

    being MCL 211.150; sections 1 and 3 of 1927 PA 360, being MCL 209.101 and 209.103; section 18 of

    1974 PA 198, being MCL 207.568; section 12 of 1976 PA 438, being MCL 207.612; and section 33 of 1969 PA 306, being MCL 24.233; and Executive Order No. 2009-51. These rules will become effective immediately upon filing with the Secretary of State.

     

    Interested parties may also submit written comments to the State Tax Commission, P.O. Box 30471, Lansing, Michigan 48909, no later than 5:00 p.m. November 15, 2012. Written comments may also be sent electronically to state-tax-commission@michigan.gov no later than 5:00 p.m. November 15, 2012.

     

    The rules are published on the Michigan Government Web site at http://www.michigan.gov/orr and in the November 1, 2012 issue of the Michigan Register. Copies of the draft rules may also be obtained by mail or electronic request at the addresses above.
