A public hear ing on proposed am endment s to Regulat ion 636 , Pesticide Applicat ors, will be held on Tuesd ay, December 18, 2001 , beginn ing at 9:00 a .m. in Upp er Park ing Level , Conference Room #4, Otta wa Building, 611 W. Otta wa, Lan sing, Michigan .
The proposed am endment s for pes t icide applicat ors include:
Red ucing th e cert ificat ion applicat ion period to a llow for more t imely closur e of pending applicat ions.
Adding cert ificat ion cat egories for sma ll an ima l pes t mana gement an d sewe r line r oot contr ol, rescinding contra ctua l public health pes t mana gement an d com bining fum igat ion stan dar ds.
Development of guidelines for verificat ion of an applicat ors two-wee k exemption for tra in ing.
Eliminat ion of Rule 10, which provided special provisions for restr icted use pes t icide applicat ions by registered applicat ors.
Clar ificat ion of th e in format ion required in comm ercial applicat or recor ds an d how th is in format ion mu st be ma inta ined.
