NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

 

The Michigan Department of Education, Office of Career and Technical Education, will conduct a public hearing to receive public comments on the following proposed administrative rules:

 

Career and Technical Education Reimbursed Programs (2009-041 ED)

 

The rules are promulgated by authority of the superintendent of public instruction by section 61a of 1979 PA 94, MCL 388.1761a and Executive Reorganization Order No. 2007-1, MCL 388.998. The changes would align the rules with current federal and state legislation and policy.

 

The proposed rules are accessible on the internet at: www.michigan.gov/mde-publiccomment. These rules are published in the November 15, 2009 Michigan Register. The rules are proposed to take effect upon the filing with the Secretary of State.

 

A public hearing will be held on the proposed rules on Tuesday, November 17, 2009, from 3:00-5:00 p.m., at the Library of Michigan - Forum, 717 West Allegan Street, Lansing, Michigan 48909.

 

Oral or written comments may be presented in person at the hearing or submitted in writing by mail, e- mail, or facsimile no later than 5:00 p.m., November 17, 2009. All comments will be reviewed and considered in the final version of the rules. Comments may be submitted to the following:
