Rule Set 2005-083 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Department of Labor and Economic Growth will hold a public hearing on January 17, 2006, at the Bureau of Commercial Services, 2501 Woodlake Circle, Okemos, Michigan in Conference Room 3 at 9:00 a.m.

 

The proposed rule set 2005-083 clarifies in rule the existing practice where by the department, under authority conferred in the Occupational Code, pursues administrative prosecution of licensees who become inactive and to provide a uniform reporting requirement for all occupations under the Occupational Code, for name and address changes. This requirement will ensure that licensees can be properly noticed in administrative complaint investigations and prosecutions.

 

These rules are promulgated by authority conferred on the director of the department of labor and economic growth by section 308 of 1980 ACT 299, MCL 339.308, and Executive Reorganization Orders No. 1996-2, MCL 445.2001 and 2003-1, MCL 445.2011. These rules will take effect immediately upon filing with the Secretary of State unless adopted under sections 33, 44, or 45a(6) of 1969 PA 306. Rules adopted under these sections become effective 7 days after filing with the Secretary of State.
