  4 CORRECTION OF OBVIOUS ERRORS IN PUBLICATION

    Dear Brian:

     

    Staff has detected a spelling error in the following rule, as indicated in bold print below.  This rule set became effective on December 31, 2003.

     

    Text Box: Part 7. Plumbing Code R 408.30717 Duties and powers of the code official. Rule 717. Sections 104.1 and 104.5 of the code is amended to read as follows: 104.1. General. The code official shall enforce all of the provisions of the code and shall act on any question relative to the installation, alternation, repair, maintenance, or operation of all plumbing systems, devices, and equipment except as specifically provided for by statutory requirements or as provided for in sections 104.3 through 104.8. 104.5. Right of entry. In the discharge of duties, the code official may enter any building, structure, or premises in the jurisdiction to enforce the provisions of the act and the code under section 12 of 1972 PA 230, MCL 125.1512.

     

    Per MCL 24.256, we are requesting the word "alteration" be substituted for "alternation" and that this correction be published in the Michigan Register and the Michigan Administrative Code.  If you have any questions about this transmittal, please contact me at 241-4580.
