These rules take effect immediately upon filing with the Secretary of State unless adopted under section 33, 34, 45a(6), or 48 of 1969 PA 306. Rules adopted under these sections become effective 7 days after filing with the Secretary of State.

R 390.1251 is added to the Michigan Administrative Code as follows:
R 390.1251 Hearings for incarcerated teachers.
Rule 151. For hearings pursuant to the Teacher Certification Code, R 390.1101 et seq, if the teacher is incarcerated at the time of the hearing, then the hearing may be conducted by telephone, video conference, or other electronic media.
