Rule 31. (1) The owner sha ll ensur e that th e insta llat ion of a new boile r or a reinsta lled boile r, is in accor dance with th e requirement s of th ese ru les an d th e ASME boile r an d press ur e vessel code, 1998 edi tion, which is adopted by reference in R 408 .4025 .
(2) Excep tion: The ASME code requirement for th e com pletion of a P4B data report for th e insta llat ion of mechan ically asse mbled boile r externa l piping is not required.

The char ge for th is service sha ll be at th e rat e of $50 .00 for th e fir st hour an d $50 .00 for each additiona l hour , plus lodging, meals, tran sportat ion, an d oth er relat ed expe nses incurr ed for per form ing special inspections.
(3) Fees required un der th ese ru les sha ll be paid by cash, money order, or check to th e dep artm ent . Money orders or checks sha ll be ma de payable t o: “Treasur er-Stat e of Michigan .”
