    (i)    A minimum of 12 semester OR EQUIVALEN T hour s in cour ses perta ining to norma l development of spee ch, lan gua ge, an d hear ing.

    (ii)     A minimum of 30 semester OR EQUIVALEN T hour s in cour ses on commun icat ion disorders an d evaluat ion an d mana gement of spee ch, lan gua ge, an d hear ing disorders. Of th ese 30 semester OR EQUIVALEN T hour s, 24 hour s sha ll be  in  spee ch  an d  lan gua ge path ology an d 6 sha ll be in au diology. Not more than 6 of th e 30 semester OR EQUIVALEN T hour s ma y be earn ed for clinical pra cticum .

    (a)      A minimum of 9 semester OR EQUIVALEN T hour s or 12  t e rm  h our s  in  special educat ion cour ses leading to th e acquisition of all of th e followin g com petencies:

    (i)   Knowledge of th e cau ses of var ious han d ica pp in g DIS ABILIT Y conditions an d th e effects of th ose conditions on learn ing.

    (ii)         Ability  to  assess  physical   educat ion   sk ills   of   individua ls   exhibiting   var ious han d ica pp in g con d it ion s DIS ABILITI ES.

    (iii)      Knowledge of special educat ion teaching models w h ich THAT employ assess ment - prescriptive techn iques.
