    SOAHR 2004-038 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

    MICHIGAN DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE PESTICIDE AND PLANT PEST MANAGEMENT DIVISION

     

    The Michigan Department of Agriculture, Pesticide and Plant Pest Management Division, will conduct a public meeting on Friday, May 26, 2006, beginning at 9:00 a.m., at the Geagley Laboratory, Guyer Conference Room, 1615 S. Harrison Road, East Lansing, MI 48823. The hearing will be held to receive comments on proposed changes to the rules of Regulation No. 641 Commercial Fertilizer Bulk Storage.  Written comments may be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on May 26, 2006, to the address below.

     

    The proposed amendments to Regulation 641 are being promulgated to address issues related to current containment technology needs by including the use of an internal tank liner (bladder) system as an alternative design to the existing fertilizer containment requirements.

     

    The rules [Rule Set 2004-038 AC] are published on the Michigan Government website at http://www.michigan.gov/cis/0,1607,7-154-10576_35738_5695---,00.html and in the May 15, 2006 issue of the Michigan Register.
