The Dep artm ent of Agricultur e, as promu lgat ing agency, is writing to request that th e Office of Regulat ory Reform exercise it s discretion to corr ect an obvious err or in th e Michigan Administrat ive Code, pur suant to Administrat ive Pr oced ur es Act , Section 56(1), MCL 28 .256 .
The err or is conta ined in ru le R 285 .814 .1(g)(ii). The ru le was recent ly am ended an d becam e effective on April 24, 2002 .
The cert ified version of th e ru le filed with th e Office of th e Great Seal conta ins an obvious err or in that th e word “horses” was ina dvert ent ly left out . The effect ed line curr ent ly reads:
“Fedele Faur i futur ity ra ce” mean s a futur ity for 2- an d 3-year –old stan dar dbred harn ess which were nominat ed by J uly 15 of th e foa ling year or supplementa l payment in th e year ling year as provided for in th e ra ce con ditions.
The line should read:
“Fedele Faur i futur ity ra ce” mean s a futur ity for 2- an d 3-year –old stan dar dbred harn ess horses which were nominat ed by J uly 15 of th e foa ling year or supplementa l payment in th e year ling year as provided for in th e ra ce con ditions.
