SOAHR 2005-027 ED NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Department of Education will conduct a public hearing to receive public comments on proposed administrative rules governing Teachers’ Tenure. The public hearing will be held on June 8, 2005, at 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Forum, Library of Michigan, 717 West Allegan Street, Lansing, Michigan 48909.
The proposed rules governing Teachers’ Tenure would restore the ability of school guidance counselors who hold any Michigan teaching certificate with a school guidance counselor endorsement to earn teacher tenure. The proposed rules will become effective immediately upon filing with the Secretary of State.
Oral or written comments may be presented in person at the hearing on June 8, or submitted in writing by mail, email, or facsimile no later than 5:00 p.m., June 20, 2005.
