NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING JUNE 2, 2008

The Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) will hold a public hearing on June 2, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the MSHDA main office, 735 East Michigan Avenue, Lansing, Michigan in Conference Room 235/335 on the Lower Level. The hearing will be held to receive public comments on proposed Administrative Rules related to the Michigan Housing and Community Development Fund and Program.

 

The proposed rule set 2008-002 LG will implement and govern the operation of the Michigan Housing and Community Development Program (the “Program”) as created by and detailed in Act 346 of the Public Acts of 1966. The Act directs the Authority to create and implement the Program for the purpose of developing and coordinating public and private resources to meet the affordable housing needs of low income, very low income and extremely low income households in Michigan. The Authority is directed by the Act to identify, select, and make financing available to eligible applicants from the fund and thereby operate the program. The Authority is directed to promulgate the rules in order to fulfill its responsibilities under the Act.

 

These rules are promulgated by authority conferred on MSHDA by 1966 PA 346, MCL 125.1458b(3), MCL 125.1458b(7) and MCL 125.1422(o). The rules become effective immediately upon filing with the Secretary of State unless adopted under sections 33, 44, or 45a(6) of 1969 PA 306. Rules adopted under these sections become effective 7 days after filing with the Secretary of State.

 

The rule set 2008-002 LG is published on the Michigan Government web site at  http://www.michigan.gov/orr and in the June 1, 2008 issue of the Michigan Register.
