NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS
The Michigan Department of Natural Resources will hold two public hearings on proposed rules for the administration of burning permits, creation of certification requirements for prescribed burn managers, minimum requirements for burn prescriptions, and a process for decertifying burn managers.
These rules are being promulgated under the authority conferred on the Director of the Department of Natural Resources by Sections 51503 and 51513 of Part 515 of 451 PA 1994, MCL 324.51513.
Hearing #1, Thursday, June 22, 2006 at 1 PM at the Michigan Library & Historical Center, 702 W Kalamazoo St., Lansing, MI, 48915.
Hearing #2, Friday, June 30, 2006, at 10 AM at the Little Bear East Conference Center, 560 N. State Street, St. Ignace, MI 49781.
Hearings will be held to receive public comment on proposed Rules 281.421, R 281.422, R 281.423. R 281.424, R 281.425, R 281.426, R 281.427, R281.428, and R 281.429. Rule Set 2005-057 NR is
published at the Michigan Government website at www.michigan.gov/orr and in the Michigan Register, 6/15/06 issue.
