    NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

    Consideration of Proposed Administrative Rules for the BOARD OF REAL ESTATE BROKERS AND SALESPERSONS

    Rule Set 2006-020

     

    The Department of Labor and Economic Growth will hold a public hearing on August 1, 2006, 10:00

    a.m.    at the Bureau of Commercial Services, 2501 Woodlake Circle, Okemos, Michigan, Conference Room 3. The hearing will be held to receive public comments on proposed changes to the Administrative Rules for the Board of Real Estate Brokers and Salespersons.

     

    The proposed rule set # 2006-20 is to bring the administrative rules into agreement with recent changes to Article 25 of the Occupational Code. The rules will extend approval for education courses through the end of the 3-year license cycle rather than requiring annual approval of courses. Other minor wording changes for clarity are also proposed.

     

    These rules are promulgated by authority conferred on the Department of Labor and Economic Growth by 1980 PA 299, MCL 339.208 and MCL 339.308. The rules will take effect immediately upon filing with the Secretary of State.

     

    The rules 2006-20 are published on the Michigan Government web site at http://www.michigan.gov/orr and in the July 1, 2006 issue of the Michigan Register.
