13 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

LAW ENFORCEMENT DIVISION REGULATION OF LANDS ADMINISTERED

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources will hold a public hearing on Thursday, August 19, 2004 at 6 PM at Grayling Middle School, 500 Spruce St., Grayling, MI. 49738, to receive public comment on proposed rules for Regulation of Lands Administered by the Department of Natural Resources.

 

The proposed rule change will modify the requirement for a permit for commercial operations on state land. This will allow the MDNR to implement the requirement for a permit for commercial operations where the MDNR determines the commercial operation will have other than a minimal impact on the resource and the use of state land by others. Comments on the rule amendment may be made in person at the hearing, by mail or e-mail until September 2, 2004.

 

These rules are promulgated by authority conferred on the Michigan Department of Natural Resources by section 504 of 1994 PA 451, MCL 324.504, and amends rule 299.922 regarding low-impact commercial use of state lands. These rules will take effect 7 days after filing with the Secretary of State.
