    BOARD OF ACCOUNTANCY NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

    September 5, 2007

    10:00 a.m.

    2501 Woodlake Circle  Okemos Michigan Conference Room A

     

    The Department of Labor and Economic Growth will hold a public hearing on September 5, 2007; 10:00

    a.m. at the Bureau of Commercial Services, 2501 Woodlake Circle, Okemos Michigan in Conference Room A. The hearing will be held to receive public comments on proposed changes to the Administrative Rules for the Board of Accountancy.

     

    The proposed rule set #2006-067 adopts the most recent professional standards for accounting principles and auditing standards, amends certain requirements for qualifying education and continuing education and stipulates implementation requirements for peer review.

     

    These rules are promulgated by authority conferred on the Department of Labor and Economic Growth by 1980 PA 299, MCL 339.205 and MCL 339.308. The rules will take effect on March 1, 2008.

     

    The rule set #2006-067 is published on the Michigan Government web site at  http://www.michigan.gov/orr and in the September 1, 2007 issue of the Michigan Register. Comments may be submitted to the following address by 5:00 P.M. on September 5, 2007.
