FAIRS, EXHIBITIONS AND RACING DIVISION
REGULATION 811, PREMIUM ALLOCATIONS TO FAIRS AND EXPOSITIONS
The Michigan Department of Agriculture, Fairs, Exhibitions and Racing Division, will conduct a public hearing on proposed amendments to Regulation 811, Premium Allocations to Fairs and Expositions. This rule is being amended to bring the regulation in line with current agricultural practices and to encourage the promotion of current agricultural practices at fairs.
The public hearing will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2003, beginning at 10:00 am at Constitution Hall, Van Dusen Conference Room, 6th floor, 525 Allegan, Lansing MI 48933.

All interested persons are invited to attend and present their views. It is requested that all statements be submitted in writing for the hearing record. Anyone unable to attend may submit comments in writing to Fairs, Exhibitions and Racing Division, Michigan Department of Agriculture, at the address above. Written comments must be received by September 30, 2003.

Promulgation of these rules is pursuant to the authority conferred on the commission of agriculture by sections 7(4) of Act No. 361 of the Public Acts of 1978, as amended, being Section 285.161, et. Seq., of the Michigan Compiled Laws, also known as the Michigan Exposition and Fairgrounds Act. These rules become effective 7 days after filing with the Secretary of State.
