16 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

 

 

DEPARTMENT OF CONSUMER AND INDUSTRY SERVICES LIQUOR CONTROL COMMISSION

A public hearing will be held by the Michigan Liquor Control Commission on Wednesday, October 8, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. in the Commission’s Hearing Room, 2nd Floor, General Office Building, 7150 Harris Drive, Lansing, Michigan, to consider proposed amendments to the Commission=s “Licensing Qualifications” and “Hearing and Appeal Practice” rules regulating on-premises and off-premises licensees including elimination of unnecessary regulations, clarification of existing rules, simplification of the administrative processes or reduction of administrative burdens affecting applicants or licensees.

 

The public hearing is called in compliance with Sections 41 and 42 of Act No. 306, PA of 1969, as amended, and under the authority of section 215(1) of Act No. 58 of the Public Acts of 1998, as amended.

 

Copies of the proposed rules may be obtained at the Liquor Control Commission=s Lansing Office during regular business hours. The proposed amendments would become effective 7 days after filing with the Secretary of State.

 

All interested persons are invited to attend the hearing to present data and views orally or in writing. Anyone unable to attend may submit comments in writing to Mr. Wozniak at the above address. Written comments must be received by October 24, 2003.
