    BOARD OF PSYCHOLOGY - GENERAL RULES

     

    The Department of Community Health will hold a public hearing on Friday, September 24, 2004 from 9

    a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Department of Community Health, Ottawa Building, 611 West Ottawa, Conference Room 3, Upper Level, Lansing, Michigan.

     

    The public hearing is being held to receive comments from interested persons on amendments to the Michigan Board of Psychology Administrative Rules. The rules are being amended to specify the minimum number of hours of supervision per month that an individual who is participating in an internship that is part of a doctoral degree program or a practicum that is part of a master’s degree program must obtain in order to apply for licensure as a psychologist or a limited licensed psychologist, respectively. The rules also are being amended to specify the minimum number of hours of supervision per month that a limited licensed psychologist must obtain to comply with the Public Health Code’s requirement that limited licensed psychologists practice under the supervision of a licensed psychologist.

     

    These rules are being promulgated under the authority of section 18201 of 1978 PA 368, MCL 333.18201 et seq. and Executive Reorganization Order Nos. 1996-1, 1996-2 and 2003-18, being MCL 330.3101, 445.2001 and 445.2011.

     

    Hearing comments may be presented in person, with written comments available at the time of presentation. Written comments will be accepted at the following address or E-mail address until Friday, October 8, 2004 at 5:00 p.m. Address communications to:
