    CARNIVAL/AMUSEMENT SAFETY RULES

    Rule Set 2004-019 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

    October 29, 2004

    The Department of Labor and Economic Growth will hold a public hearing on October 29, 2004, at the Bureau of Commercial Services, 2501 Woodlake Circle, Okemos Michigan in Conference Room 1 at 10:00 a.m. The hearing will be held to receive public comments on proposed changes to the Administrative Rules for Carnival/Amusement Safety.

     

    The proposed rules are to update the rules, to include all regulated rides under the current safety standards.

     

    These rules are promulgated by authority conferred on the Department of Labor and Economic Growth by sections 308 and 721 of 1980 PA 299, MCL 339.308 and 339.721, and Executive Reorganization Order No. 1996-2, MCL 445.2001and 2003-18, MCL 445.2011. These rules will take effect seven days after filing with the Secretary of State.

     

    The rules [Rule Set 2004-019] are published on the Michigan Government web site at http://www.michigan.gov/orr and in the September 15, 2004 issue of the Michigan Register. Comments may be submitted to the following address by 5:00 P.M. on November 2, 2004.
