    PUBLIC NOTICE

     

    The Michigan Department of Natural Resources will conduct a public hearing on a proposed administrative rule amendment promulgated pursuant to 1994 PA 451, Part 821, MCL 324.82125, and Part 811 MCL 324.81132, and 1965 PA 380, MCL 16.250 and 1969 PA 306, MCL 24.241. This rule

    amendment proposes to impose a speed restriction of 45 mph to an additional portion of the frozen surface of the Kawkawlin River in Bangor Township, Bay County.

    The public hearing will be held at the Bangor Township Hall, 3921 Wheeler Road, Bay City, Michigan, at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 16, 2007. The Michigan Department of Natural Resources will gather information at this hearing from the public concerning snowmobile and off-road vehicle related issues on the Kawkawlin River.

    This notice of public hearing is given in accordance with Section 41 and 42 of Michigan’s Administrative Procedures Act, 1969 PA 306, as amended, [MCL 24.421 and 24.242]. This rule will become effective immediately upon filing with the Secretary of State.

     

    All interested persons are invited to attend and present their views. It is requested that all statements be submitted in writing for the hearing record. Anyone unable to attend may submit comments in writing to the address above. Written comments must be received by 5:00 p.m. on October 23, 2007.
