Rule 1. (1) The rules in this part apply to exposures to any of the following:

(a)   Formaldehyde from any source.

(b)   Formaldehyde gas.

(c)   Formaldehyde solutions.

(d) Materials that release formaldehyde.

(2) The rules in this part apply to all employment situations, including general industry and construction industry employment.
