  • (1) Preservice (baseline) inspection, in-service inspection, repair, replacement, modification, alteration, examination, testing, records, and reports of individual nuclear components, parts, appurtenances, piping, supports, nuclear systems, applicable associated auxiliary systems, and complete nuclear power plants that are in compliance with all of the requirements of the construction code, at the point in time the requirements have been completed, irrespective of the physical location, shall be as prescribed in section XI, rules for in-service inspection of nuclear power plant components, of the ASME boiler and pressure vessel code. A copy of the current edition of section XI-2010 and its 2011a addenda, is available for inspection at the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, Bureau of Construction Codes, 2501 Woodlake Circle, Okemos, Michigan 48864 or from the ASME International, 22 Law Drive, Fairfield, New Jersey 07007, at a cost as of the time of adoption of these amendatory rules of $700.00.

    (2)     The owner of a nuclear power plant shall file inspection plans and schedules, pump and valve testing programs, and requests for relief from section XI of the ASME code requirements with the boiler division of the department.

    (3)     The nuclear power plant shall maintain compliance with requirements, as prescribed by the nuclear regulatory commission.
