The United States property and fiscal officer is responsible for equipping, supplying, and maintaining national guard units in Michigan in behalf of the federal government. His offices in Lansing perform the major staff functions

incident to obtaining, administratively controlling, and accounting for federal funds and materiel directed toward servicing state national guard units.
