Section 281.3303. Anchor and anchor line.

(1) A vessel shall be equipped with 1 anchor     of    a suitable size and

type.

(2)   A vessel operating on inland lakes shall be equipped with   not less than 75 feet

of suitable anchor line which is readily available onboard the vessel.

(3)   A vessel operating exclusively on rivers shall be     equipped with   not less than 30 feet of suitable anchor line which is readily available onboard the vessel.

(4)   Any line attached to the required anchor shall be     attached by eyesplice, thimble, and shackle.
