  •    (1)   All storage containers shall have the capability to have the liquid level within the storage   container measured readily and safely.

    Liquid level gauging may be accomplished using any of the following:

    (a)

    Tank markings.

     

    (b)

    See-through gradations.

     

     

    (c)

    Dip sticks.

     

     

    (d)

    Site gauge tubes.

     

     

    (e)

    Other means for accurately measuring the contents as

    approved

    by the

    department.

    (2)      Exterior liquid level gauging devices shall be  secured  to protect against breakage or vandalism.

    (3)     Storage containers with external sight gauges  shall  have  a lockable bottom valve.
