To prevent the spread of certain contagious and infectious reportable diseases among animals, the director may require that a vehicle used to transport animals that are confirmed to be affected by a contagious or infectious reportable disease be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected in an approved manner with a disinfectant approved by the department before the vehicle is again used for any purpose.
