  • The following described area is established as the Thunder Bay Great Lakes state bottomland  preserve:  That  area  of  Lake  Huron bottomlands, extending upward and including the surface of the water, within the latitudes 44o52'50" (South Point) and 45o11'24" (Middle Island) and lying between the ordinary high  shoreline and the 150-foot depth contour based on the ordinary high-water level, Alpena county,   Michigan, which area contains 288 square miles, more or less.
