(1) A person who submits false information to the department on an application, other NPDES form, or any other reporting form, or who violates any of these rules, a term, condition, or schedule of compliance contained within a valid state or national permit, or part 31 of the act is subject to the remedies or penalties prescribed by section 3115 of part 31 of the act.

(2) The department shall notify the regional administrator of all violations of these rules, a valid permit, or part 31 of the act, and of the means by which the department proposes to correct or require the correction of violations.
