Rule 2238.(1) The following ASTM standards are adopted by reference in these rules:

(a)       D698-91E1, test method for laboratory compaction characteristics of soil using standard effort.

(b)       D1557-91E1, test method for laboratory compaction characteristics of soil using modified effort.

(c)     D1586-84(92)E1, standard method for penetration test and split-barrel sampling of soils.

(d)     D5084-90, standard test method for hydraulic conductivity of saturated porous materials using a flexible wall permeameter.

(2) The standards listed in subrule (1) of this rule may be purchased from the American Society for Testing and Materials, 100 Barr Harbor Drive, West Conshohocken, Pennsylvania 19428, at a cost at the time of adoption of these rules of

$18.00 each. The standards listed may also be obtained from the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, Waste Management Division, P.O. Box 30241, Lansing, Michigan 48909, at a cost at the time of adoption of these rules of $18.00 each, plus shipping and handling.
