When a patient dies, the administrator or his or her designated representative shall immediately notify the attending physician, the next of kin, the legal guardian or designated representative, and, as soon as possible, the person or agency responsible for placing and maintaining the patient in the home. A signed record of this notification, including the names of the persons notified and the time notification was made, shall be recorded on the patient's clinical record.
