Section 325.5071. Resins containing scandium-46 for sand consolidation in oil wells.

A person is exempt from these rules to the extent that he owns, receives, acquires, possesses, uses or transfers synthetic plastic resins containing scandium-46 which are designed for sand consolidation in oil wells if the resins were manufactured or imported in accordance with a specific license issued by the NRC, or were manufactured in accordance with the specifications contained in a specific license issued by the department or an agreement state to the manufacturer of such resins pursuant to licensing requirements equivalent to those in sections
32.16 and 32.17 of 10 CFR Part 32 of the regulations of the NRC. This exemption does not authorize the manufacturer of resins containing scandium-46.
