(1) Rules 445 to 455 establish radiation safety requirements for the use of particle accelerators. The provisions of such rules are in addition to, and not in substitution for, other applicable provisions of these rules.

(2) A licensee or registrant shall be responsible for assuring that all requirements of this part are met.
