  • (1) This part establishes requirements governing the use of x-radiation for mammography and applies to all persons who use x-radiation for mammography for the intentional exposure of humans. A person shall not use a radiation machine to perform mammography unless  the  radiation   machine  is  registered  with   the  department   pursuant  to R 325.5181 to R 325.5196 and is specifically authorized to perform mammography pursuant to the act.

    (2)    In addition to the requirements of this part, all persons are subject to all applicable provisions of R 325.5001 to R 325.5721.

    (3)   A facility shall not misrepresent to its employees, to the public, or to the department its status with respect to accreditation of the mammography equipment by the American college of radiology, department authorization to perform mammography, or compliance with department rules.
