(1) Transmission pipeline: x-ray inspection. The use of x-rays and radioactive isotopes for the inspection of welded pipeline joints shall be carried out in conformance with the American national standards institute Z54.1, safety standard for nonmedical x-ray and sealed gamma-ray sources, as adopted in R 325.60601b.

(2) Mechanical piping systems: X-ray inspection. The use of x-rays and radioactive isotopes for the inspection of welded piping joints shall be in conformance with the American national standards institute Z54.1, safety standard for nonmedical x-ray and sealed gamma-ray sources, as adopted in R 325.60601b.
