(1) An individual shall be admitted to a residential facility from another state under the interstate compact only if that individual meets the criteria for admission as specified in the act.

(2) An individual under 18 years of age shall be transferred to a facility of another state under the interstate compact if the parents of that individual establish residence in that state.
