The following intra-oral procedures shall   be delegated   to a dental assistant only if the procedures are performed   under   direct supervision:

(a)   Placing and removing orthodontic separators.

(b)   Placing and removing orthodontic elastics, ligatures, and arch wires.

(c)   Dispensing aligners.
