A speech-language pathologist shall maintain patient records in accordance with section 16213 of the code, MCL 333.16213. The records shall be made available to other health professionals involved in the care of the patient in accordance with the health insurance portability and accountability act (hipaa) of 1996, Public Law 104-191.
