  • An applicant for renewal of a license to practice osteopathic medicine and surgery who held the license for the  3-year  period immediately preceding the expiration date of the license or an applicant for relicensure pursuant to the provisions of section 16201(3) of the code shall have completed, in the 3-year period immediately preceding the application, 150 hours of continuing education in courses or programs approved by the board. In place of the examination  requirements established in section 16201(4) of the code, an applicant for relicensure pursuant to the provisions of section 16201(4) of the code shall have earned, within the 3-year period immediately preceding the application, 150 hours of continuing education in courses or programs approved by the board.
