A vertical spindle mixer shall be equipped with a cover which raises and lowers with the spindle head. The cover or head shall be interlocked so that the spindles cannot start when the cover is raised. A jog switch, so located that the operator cannot reach the pinch point, shall be provided for cleaning the blades in a raised position, or 2-hand constant pressure controls shall be provided .
