Rule 96. (1) If welding is employed in the installation or reinstallation of a boiler or piping, then the licensed installer shall

file welding procedure specifications and the procedure qualification reports qualified in accordance with the requirements of ASME code section IX, welding and brazing qualifications, with the boiler division of the department, before conducting any installation requiring welding.

(2) A licensed installer who utilizes welding in the installation or reinstallation of boilers or piping shall have available, for the inspector's review, welding procedure specifications and welder performance qualification records to be used or that were used in the installation or reinstallation.
