  • If a riveted boiler is jacketed so that the longitudinal seams of shells, drums, or domes cannot be  seen,  and   if  data  cannot   be determined by other means, enough of the jacketing, setting wall, or other form of casing or housing shall be removed so that the size of the rivets, pitch of the rivets, and other data necessary to determine  the   safety   of the boiler may be obtained.
