Section 408.7005. Identification plates and tags.

(1) The holder of a certificate of operation shall permanently attach to the elevator in an approved area an identification plate showing the rated load and the serial number of each elevator.

(2) One serial number tag shall be furnished and shall be permanently attached to the elevator machine controller.

(3) Identification plates and tags shall be furnished by the department and remain the property of the department.
