  • (1) In computing any period of time prescribed or allowed by these rules, the time in which an act is to be done shall be computed by excluding the first day, and including the last, unless the last day is a Saturday, Sunday, or state legal holiday, in which case the period will run until the end of the next day following the Saturday, Sunday, or state legal holiday.

    (2)   Unless otherwise specified by the administrative law judge, rule, or statute, the date of receipt of a filing by the hearing system shall be the date used to determine whether a pleading or other paper has been timely filed with the hearing system.

    (3)   Except where otherwise specified, a period of time in these rules means calendar days, not business days.
