The taking and use of depositions, interrogatories, and discovery shall be in the same manner and scope as in the circuit courts of the state pursuant to the Michigan general court rules or as otherwise provided by law. Where a party fails to comply with this rule, on motion by the party seeking to take and use depositions, interrogatories, or discovery, the administrative law judge may, consistent with the provisions of the Michigan general court rules and other applicable law, issue an order to effect this rule.
