  • (1) An agency shall provide an orientation for prospective applicants for adoption before an adoptive application is provided. The orientation shall include a review of all of the following:

    (a)   Program statement, policies, and procedures.

    (b)   Needs and characteristics of children available for adoption.

    (c)   Services and resources available.

    (d)  Fees and charges.

    (e)   Legal process.

    (f)  Training requirements.

    (g)   Post adoption service availability.

    (2)   An agency shall, upon request, provide an adoptive application to an interested family.

    (3)   An agency may consider an application withdrawn after 90 days if the applicant fails to cooperate with the completion of the evaluation process.
